Vijay Arora is an Indian film and television actor, best known for his role in the Bollywood film “Yadon Ki Baaraat” (1973) starring Zeenat Aman, and for his role in Ramanand Sagar is best known for playing ‘Meghnad Indrajit’ in the epic drama ‘Ramayan’ (1987).

Vijay Arora was born on Wednesday 27 December 1944 (Age 62; at the time of death) in the state of Kutch in British India. He graduated with a Gold Medal from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in 1971. Long before FTII, he tried to work in the film industry, but it was suggested that he should practice his acting skills before looking for a job, which is why he joined FTII. In an interview, speaking about the matter, he said,
When I decided to get into a movie, I did it once in every studio. Then I sat down and waited for them. No one came. Someone advised me to prepare for this career first. So I went to film school, struggled for two years, got a gold medal, and signed up before I graduated. “

On Friday, February 2, 2007, Vijay Arora died of stomach cancer at his residence in Mumbai. He has been suffering from intestinal disease for the past few months. After his death, his wife, Dilber, suffered from severe depression and could only recover after a long period of homeopathy. Speaking of Dilbo’s trauma, Vijay and Dilbo’s son, Farhad said,
She became very absent-minded, sometimes just dazed. There were days when she would light the gas stove in the kitchen and leave it with nothing to cook. When we go to frequented places with Dad, she breaks down. She didn’t want to meet or talk to Dad’s friends like Jackie Shroff, Govinda, Danny Denzongpa, Bappi Lahiri and his son Bappa, who are still in regular contact with us. All she wanted to do was feel her dad’s presence by her side. She misses his attention, love, care and support so much. “
