The journey of life
Originally from Greifswald, East Germany, Toni Kroos follows a family with a long and prestigious history in sports. His father, Roland Cross, was a professional wrestler who later became a football coach. His mother, Birgit Kammer, was a German badminton player who became a biology teacher. Tony grew up living a comfortable life with his younger brother Felix.
Tony’s parents were both sports enthusiasts, so he was deeply influenced by them and by sports. His studies were not particularly good, but he was a disciplined student at school and a valued member of the football team. Despite his enthusiasm, he had few opportunities to play football during his formative years.
Under his father, Roland, who was in charge of training his son, Tony developed some amazing skills that made him one of the most respected football players on the varsity team. The support of Tony’s parents made him successful and he began to put in a lot of time training himself.
He experienced serious football for the first time at Greifswald Football Club. At the age of 17, he joined the “Bayern Munich” youth development team. Since he had such a rigorous training program, he completely ignored academics. But soon, his love for the sport paid off as he was transferred to the “Bayern” senior team.
Tony Cross married longtime girlfriend Jessica Farber in 2015. Leon and Amelie are their two children. In Mallorca, Spain, the family lives in a mansion. While Tony enjoys a low-key personal life, his wife prefers to stay behind the scenes, unlike many other celebrity wives.
