Somadas was born into a South Indian family. His father’s name was Haridasan. He married Surya in 2005. The couple are fortunate to have two daughters. After a few years of marriage, problems began to arise in their married life and they got divorced.

In 2008, he participated in the singing reality show “Creative Star Song” as a contestant. Although he didn’t win on the show, he gained huge popularity through the show.

Later, he performed in various live shows and events. On January 5, 2020, he entered the Bigg Boss 2 Malayalam residence with Rajini Chandy, Sujo Mathew, RJ Raghu and Reshma Rajan.

In one of the episodes of Bigg Boss Malayalam 2, contestants were given a task to share their personal lives. Somadas shared the story of his failed marriage and said he had to fight for custody of his children from his ex-wife Surya. Surya later defended himself, producing a live video on Facebook, saying:
Our problem started after he took part in the Creative Star Singer. After the show, he had a huge following and started extramarital affairs with various women. I even saw offensive messages on his phone. When I asked, he started verbally and physically abusing me. He always kept the fact that he was married and never took me to the show even when the whole family went. He didn’t stay in the US for 5 years, he only stayed in the US for 2.5 years. To say I took half a million from him is completely false. After all these years, I still haven’t been able to see my child, he declared, and my lover and I have escaped. ”

He had to drop out of “Bigg Boss Malayalam 2” (2020) halfway through due to high blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol, and as his condition worsened, he died of cardiac arrest on Sunday, January 31, 2021.
