Young Indian rising star Shubmangil from Punjab is a right-handed batsman who has been making waves both domestically and on the Indian A Tour. Nicknamed Shubhi, he is known for his tight technique and aggressive strokes.

Shubman was born on September 8, 1999 (19; same as 2018) Fazka in Punjab, India. He was educated at Manav Mangal Smart School in Mohari, Punjab. Shubman has been playing cricket since he was a child, and he admires Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman. His family moved from Fazilka to Mohali, where they lived in a rental house near the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium so Shubman could play and improve his cricket-related skills.

Shubhman was drafted into the regional under-16 Punjab cricket team at the age of 11. Next, he made his debut against the Vidarbha cricket team in Delhi (2017). Later, in the same year, he was drafted into India’s under-19 cricket team. When he made his debut against England in the youth ODI series, he made a total of 351 runs, which turned his life upside down and led him to the series title. He was selected as the vice-captain of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup (2018). In 2018, he became part of the Kolkata Knights Riders (KKR) who hired him for Rs 18 crore in an IPL auction.
