The journey of life
Seth Rogen was born in Vancouver, Canada. He came from a Jewish family. His father was heavily involved in the Jewish Brotherhood of Workers Circle, and his mother was a civil worker. Seth Rogen considered his parents well-rounded in terms of socialist political positions. Although Seth has dual citizenship, he knows he is Canadian because he grew up in that country.
His actions at Point Grey Middle School in West Vancouver set the stage for plays such as Superbad. Many of the characters in his conversations are based on classmates he met while in Vancouver. He started making stand-up comedy routines during a Jewish summer camp.
His early struggles with the talk show inspired his lifelong passion for comedy. Logan was soon playing at bar mitzvahs and parties. As he grew and his jokes became more experienced, he worked at a local bar. By the age of 13, he was writing his first design for the film Superbad. His family supported his career opportunities by sending him to the local Yuk-Yuk comedy club so he could work.
While Rogan’s career was thriving, his parents ran into their own troubles. When Seth was 16, both parents found themselves unemployed and had to sell their house and move into a small apartment.
Luckily, Seth Rogen was booked for a major role that year in Judd Apatow’s Freaks and Geeks. The family moved to Los Angeles, and Seth started paying the bills for the entire family, including his sister.

His next major performance was in the Stoner comedy Pineapple Express. The film would also prove a success, grossing more than $101 million with a relatively small budget of $27 million.
In 2006, Seth paid $1.65 million for a home in Los Angeles. He and Lauren still own the home.
In 2012, Seth paid $1.1 million for a home in West Hollywood, California. He put the home on the market in early 2020 for $1.7 million. Around the same time, he listed another house he bought on the same block for $1.9 million. The home is thought to be for family members, as Seth and Lauren have a sprawling home not far from the Hollywood Hills.
Pieced together through multiple transactions, Seth and Lauren have spent $11 million on the now 8+ acre compound. In December 2014, they acquired the first part of the Hollywood Hills compound for $8 million. This first property brings Seth an impressive house with tennis court, swimming pool, guest house and more on just over 7 acres. In July 2020, they purchased a 1-acre piece of land for $3 million. Technically six hands.
