In 2016, she won an Emmy for breaking news reporting on the removal of a Minneapolis police officer in the shooting death of Jamar Clark. Additionally, she spent 13 straight hours in Kentucky, where she anchored the crash of Comair Flight 5191. 49 of the 50 people on board were killed. As a result, the station won the National Edward R. Murrow Award for its coverage.
Meghan has been volunteering at Holy Land Children’s Hospital for years, attending achievement camps and the Holy Land Ball. In addition, she has hosted various events for groups and organizations around the Twin Cities. Outside of work, she and her husband enjoy camping, renovating houses, traveling, and cooking.
