Kumar Eswaran is a mathematical physicist who rose to fame after claiming to have found a solution to Ryman’s hypothesis 161 years ago. The hypothesis is considered the most important of the ten unsolved math problems.

Kumar Eswaran was born in 1947 (Age 74; as of 2021) in Pune, Maharashtra. After completing his studies and graduating, Kumar Eswaran entered the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur to pursue a master’s degree. in physics. In September 1968, he joined the University of Madras, Chennai, as a researcher, and in June 1973, he completed his PhD in theoretical physics.

Profession
After completing his PhD in theoretical physics at the University of Madras, Kumar joined the R&D department of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in New Delhi as an additional general manager. In 1981, Kumar went to Ohio State University to conduct research in the field of wave scattering and propagation. He worked at BHEL until 1999 and then joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Sreenidhi Institute of Technology (SNIST), Hyderabad as a professor. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Altech Power and Energy Systems Private Limited (ALPES). The company works in the fields of power plant engineering, advanced computing technology, monitoring and systems modeling.
Riemann conjecture solution
In 2000, the Riemann conjecture was considered a millennium problem by the Clay Institute of Mathematics in Cambridge. The 161-year-old problem has a $1 million bounty for anyone willing to solve it. This assumption helps in calculating prime numbers and provides a way to generate large random numbers. In 2016, Kumar Eswaran published a study titled “Final and exhaustive proof of the Riemann hypothesis from first principles”. The file was downloaded thousands of times on the internet, and in February 2020 an expert committee of eight mathematicians was formed to study the proof given by Kumar Eswaran. Professor M Seetharaman, who previously worked in the Department of Theoretical Physics at the University of Madras, is a member of the committee. After looking at the RH proof given by Kumar Eswaran, the professor said-
