Kieran Trippier is an English professional footballer who plays right-back for La Liga club Atletico Madrid and the England national team. Trippier started his career in Manchester City’s youth system but failed to break into the first team despite two loan spells to Championship club Barnsley. Burnley signed him on a season-long loan in 2011, which was made permanent for an undisclosed fee in January 2012. For two consecutive seasons in 2012-13 and 2013-14, he was named to the Championship PFA Team of the Year. Burnley finished runners-up in the Championship in 2014, earning him promotion to the Premier League. A year later, he joined Tottenham Hotspur for £3.5m.
After four years at Tottenham, Trippier was runner-up in the 2019 Champions League final before joining Atlético Madrid to help the club win the 2020-21 La Liga title. The journey of life
Trippier was born to Chris Trippier and Eleanor Lomax in Bury, Greater Manchester. Trippier has three brothers: Chris, Curtis and Kelvin. He grew up in Summerseat, Ramsburton, Greater Manchester, and attended Holcombe Brook Primary School until 2002, then Woodhey High School for five years, graduating in 2007.
He was part of the school rugby team that won the Bury Cup twice and the Greater Manchester Trophy once. Although he was scouted by Manchester United at the age of eight, he opted to join City’s academy because he had a few friends there and was close to home.
Trippier has a brother, Kelvin Lomax, who also played professional football but used his mother’s name throughout his career. He married his partner Charlotte in Cyprus in June 2016. The couple’s son Jacob was born in December 2016 and their daughter Esmeros was born in February 2019.

Manchester City
Trippier joined Manchester City’s youth academy at the age of nine, rose through the club and signed his first professional contract in 2007. During the 2007-08 season he became a regular in the reserve team and was part of the team that won the FA Youth Cup. At Camp Nou, he took part in the famous friendly against Barcelona in August 2009. In the summer of 2010, he traveled to the United States with the first team to participate in the pre-season.

- In February 2010, he joined Championship club Barnsley on a one-month loan. During his loan spell, he made three appearances, making his debut in a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough. During his loan spell at Scunthorpe United, he was sidelined for ten days through injury.
