The journey of life
Jyothika completed her studies at the Mumbai Learners Academy. She went to Mithibai College, Mumbai, where she graduated with a degree in Psychology. Jyothika started her acting career in the Bollywood film Doli Saja Ke Rakhna in 1998 playing the role of Palave Singh.

In 2003, Jyothika starred in Thirumalai, Dhool and Kaaka Kaaka. In 2004, she played her first double role in Perazhagan and won the Dinakaran Best Actress Award and the Tamil Nadu Film Award for Best Actress.
