Her mother then agreed to a condition that she would only allow her to play that game after she had run a full lap. She agreed. Her interest in dodgeball started to grow. At that time, her father used to organize football in their village. He also added track and field next to football. Hamilan had competed in that track and field event and finished second. Annoyed by her second position, she decided to retire from athletics. But then her mother persuaded her to continue her track and field competition. The next time she races, she’s number one. “The sprint that helped me beat that boy when I was seven got me interested in running.”
- After mastering the sport, she started working out. In her first days, her body was relatively bulky. Therefore, she reduced her carbohydrate intake on the advice of her fitness trainer. Fifteen days before any race, she stops carbs and gradually increases her intake as the race gets closer. Before any workouts, she consumes soaked dried fruit and a low-carb coffee. During her non-competition time, she burns about 2,300 calories per day. But just days before the race, she cut her calorie intake to around 1,500. Her workout plan remains the same for the 800m and 1500m events.
- She once said in an interview that her dream was far bigger than becoming like her parents. She wants to make history. In pursuit of this, she was required to regularly attend sports camps. Seeing her ambitions, her college…
