He was born into a Hindu Rajasthani family. His father Sohanraj Bhansali was a grain merchant and commission agent. His mother’s name was Pushpa Bansali. He has four brothers, Suresh Bhansali, Jitendra Bhansali, Late Mahendra Bhansali and Vinesh Bhansali. Dr. Gautam is married to social worker Meghana Gemawat, co-founder of the Golden Hour Foundation, and they have two sons.
Profession
He is an experienced consultant physician with extensive clinical research experience in infectious and tropical diseases such as dengue, malaria, chikungunya and tuberculosis. He has run various charity medical camps in rural areas of Nagpur, Jalgaon and Vardara. He organized various medical camps for Maheshwari Samaj in Mumbai (2007), polio and rehabilitation camps for Bhiwandi Metro Giants (2004 and 2005), with social activists Anna Hazare, Lasoor, Aurangabad and Palghar tribal areas Ralegan Siddhi and Kelwan with the CM and the Minister of Medical Education.
In 2018, he founded the “Golden Time Foundation” with the motto “Save Prime Time, Save Lives”.
During the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, he was appointed as the chief coordinator of the committee organized by the BMC for General Medicine and Infectious Diseases in Maharashtra.
