dispute
In 2019, Anupriya got into a feud with the producers of the web series “Pachali”; the producers of the web series accused Anupriya of being unprofessional for not promoting the show. Anupriya issued a statement about the controversy following allegations made by the show’s producers. In an interview, she shared part of her story, saying,
The first three intimate scenes will be shot in silhouette and dim lighting, and any intimate scenes will be limited to 30 seconds. During the shooting of the first 3 scenes, it was as if it were completely bright, and again I was sure that the scene would be darkened in post and that the scene would not go beyond the scope of the discussion when editing. Realised again that I was being manipulated again and each scene was released in bright light for 3 to 4 minutes. I was disappointed and admitted that I didn’t want to promote the project at all, but after speaking with Mr. Sushant Singh (CINTAA HEAD), I agreed to promote the series. In fact, my PR team even keeps track of their PR team’s PR strategy, dates. Details of their planned interviews with reporters were asked but were not shared with us. They just wanted me to take a photo with the CEO of Ullu and put it on the TIMES media network. As much as I hate promoting the series, I can’t specifically promote a channel or be their brand ambassador. “
