Anne Thompson is an American journalist. She is currently the Chief Environmental Correspondent at the NBC News Center in New York, NY, USA. Anne started her journalism career in 1979 after joining WNDU-TV in South Bend, Indiana. She worked on the channel from 1979 to 1983. She later became a consumer reporter for KSDK-TV, an NBC affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri. Anne worked at the station from 1983 to 1986.
From 1986 to 1997, she also worked for WDIV-TV, an NBC affiliate in Detroit. She first joined NBC News in 1997 as their national correspondent.
