Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic plays for EFL champions Fulham and the Serbian national team, where he is the team’s all-time top scorer. A youth product for Partizan, he turned pro after a loan spell at Teleoptik and played for them in his first season in the Serbian Premier League. Mitrovic has been named Europe’s Under-19 Talent by UEFA’s 18 and Under Reporter. He has scored 44 goals in 90 games over two seasons after joining Anderlecht for a club-record €5m.

Alexander Mitrovic was born on September 16, 1994 in Smederevo, Serbia, former Yugoslavia, Slovakia, to Natasha Mitrovic and father Ivica Mitrovic. Mitrovic grew up with his brother Milan, who is currently his agent in Smederevo, eastern Serbia. Members of the Mitrovic family have always admired Alan Shearer and are huge Newcastle fans.
Personally, Mitrovic was extroverted, socially confident, and stubborn early on. His father had predicted that he would grow up to be a criminal or a kickboxer.

Aleksandar Mitrović was born in Smederevo and came to the partisans through its youth system. During the 2011-12 season, he scored 7 goals in 25 league games with their affiliated team Teleoptik before being promoted to the first team.
Guerrilla
- On June 27, 2012, Mitrovic signed his first professional contract with the Partisans. Nine minutes after coming off the bench, he scored the club’s first goal in a Champions League qualifying match against Maltese side Valletta.
- On August 23, 2012, Mitrovic headed home in the Europa League play-off match against Tromso. Three days later at home against Agedina, he scored his first league goal.
- On November 17, 2012, Mitrovic opened the scoring in his first everlasting derby, which the Partisans eventually lost 3-2. Five days later, he also scored in a 1-1 draw with Azerbaijani side Nevci Baku in the Europa League group stage.

Anderlecht
- After much speculation, Mitrovic was announced as being sold to Anderlecht on August 12, 2013, and will join the club on August 30 at the request of the player and his family. Anderlecht’s transfer fee of 5 million euros is a club record.
- After coming off the bench at the start of the league’s second half against Zulte Waregem on September 1, Mitrovic provided two assists on his debut for the club.

- He made his debut for Newcastle on 9 August in a 2-2 draw with Southampton at St James’ Park, replacing Papis Cisse in the final 15 minutes. In the 22nd second of his debut, he was booked for a foul on Matt Target.
