Jack Draper’s efforts at Queen’s University have paid off in a big way this week after receiving a Wimbledon wild card.
The 19-year-old had a real breakthrough at the Cinch Championship, beating out two top 50 players, Jannik Sinner and Alexander Bublik.
Draper has won all four sets he has played in London, all coming through tie-breaks.

This speaks volumes about the mental strength of inexperienced teenagers. Who will take on fellow Briton Cameron Norrie in the hostel on Friday.
And even if Queen Draper’s journey doesn’t go any further, he still has more tennis to look forward to this summer on grass.
That’s because the former Wimbledon junior finalist received a wild card from the All England Club (Stuart Fraser).

The men’s group also includes two-time champion Andy Murray, Britons Liam Brody and Jay Clark, and hot prospect Carlos Alcaraz.
Venus Williams and Fran Jones are two notable inclusions for the women’s team.
With Wimbledon kicking off on Monday, June 28, many eyes will now turn to see who Jack Draper faces in the opener.
Meeting Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer on Centre Court would be a great start.
