Why did Boba Fett kill Bib Fortuna
It is thought that Boba may have killed Fortuna because he wanted to help clean up the galaxy by removing more Empire-related threats. Of course, with such a deep knowledge of Tatooine, Jabba’s palace may have been the start of his killing journey. The palace grounds will be the perfect base for his mission.
This is because Boba and Fennec probably don’t want to continue the Jabba organization, as Fennec shows when he frees Fortuna’s Twi’lek slave after killing all the guards. Especially now that Boba has his Mandalorian armor, which is likely to appear in the spinoff Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett.
The underlying message is that Bibb remains a potential threat to Fett, and in the process of getting rid of his rivals, he claims the throne and eliminates anyone who competes with him for the throne.
With Sith rune letters on the throne, which translates to “Booba Fett,” this Easter egg also convinces fans that Boba Fett is always destined to the throne and is actually the rightful owner.
Star Wars The Mandalorian Season 2 Finale Exploration
The Mandalorian brings Boba Fett’s legend to life, giving audiences an insight into his true character. One of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy, Fett killed many stormtroopers in order to retrieve Grog.
One of Fett’s kills feels more important, and that’s that of Bib Fortuna. This happened after Fett helped Din Djarin free Grogu from Moff Gideon. Fett and his new partner in crime, Fennec Shand, travel to Jabbas Palace to find out that Bib Fortuna has taken power.
To their dismay, Fett and Shand decide to kill all of Fortuna’s guards and kill Twi’lek himself in the end credits. Then Fett sat on Jabas’ old throne and the rest is history.
