Richard Burgi quits Y&R

Who is Y&R’s new Ashland Locke?
There’s already plenty of room for guiding light actor Robert Newman to fill the void as the new Locke-ness Monster.
The 63-year-old played Joshua Lewis on the CBS soap opera for a total of 28 years, from 1981 to 2009. By the end of the series, his character was part of the main couple alongside Kim Zimmer’s Rewa Shane.
The role earned him four Soap Opera Digest nominations, as well as two Daytime Emmys.
During Directing Light, Newman appeared at General Hospital in 1985 as Prescott Harrell and in 1986 in Santa Barbara.
