Swimmer Mark Woods is part of Channel 4’s incredible lineup for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Woods is a very impressive guy who has had as much success post-retirement as he has done in the pool.

Mark Woods is part of the Channel 4 commentary team for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Woods is a former Paralympic swimmer who has won an incredible 12 Paralympic medals, including four golds, in five events.
Mark was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 17 and had his left leg amputated below the knee.
As part of his rehabilitation program, he went to the swimming pool.
Within a year, he was swimming on one leg faster than he had previously done on two, and just 18 months after finishing chemotherapy, he was selected to represent England.
In addition to his Paralympic medals, he has won 21 gold medals at the World Championships and European Championships.
Woods holds world records in the 200m, 400m, 1,500m freestyle and is part of the team that holds the 4 x 100m freestyle world record.

life after the game
Since retiring from swimming in 2004, Mark Woods has worked for the BBC and Channel 4, taking part in the Paralympic Games in Beijing, London, Rio and now Tokyo.
He is also a well-known and respected motivational speaker on leadership, teamwork and communication.
Marc also co-founded the leadership consulting firm Equiida and spends time working with organizations around the world as an executive coach.
He also took on various personal challenges.
He has hiked in Nepal, Ecuador and Peru (Inca Trail) to hone his mountaineering skills.
To date, he has climbed the world’s tallest volcano, Cotopaxi in Ecuador; Mont Pelvoux, part of the Massif des Ecrins in France; and the 22,200-foot Mount Mela in Nepal.
