Who is Flavio Cobolli’s coach?Italian can summon familiar faces to guide him
He was one of several talented young Italians who entered tennis after winning the Grand Slam trophy. But who is Flavio Cobolli’s coach?
The 19-year-old finished eighth in the youth rankings and ended his youth career by winning the 2020 French Open men’s doubles title with Dominic Stricker.
The pair showed an amazing mentality compared to last year’s loss of the Championship at Roland Garros.
It was at the 2019 French Open that Coboli reached the junior singles quarterfinals, the longest distance he has achieved in a junior major.
Currently ranked 221 in the world, Coboli is the youngest of the four Italian teenagers in the top 500 (Adenosine triphosphate).
He will hope to follow in the footsteps of his compatriots and next-generation stars Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti, who will continue to rise in the world rankings.
In May, three days before his 19th birthday, Coboli broke into the Fortune 500 after reaching the Challenger finals for the first time in Rome, where he lost in three sets to Intesa Sanpaolo Next Gen ATP Finals qualification Racer Juan Manuel Cerundolo.
The teenager saved three match points in his ATP Tour main draw debut, beating Marcos Giron, showing his big game qualifications and ability to keep his composure in crucial moments.

In the round of 16, Coboli pushed world No. 42 Jan-Leonard Struve all the way in three tight sets, but lost in the tiebreaker.
German Stuff is the highest-ranked player Cobolli has faced so far in his burgeoning career.
The right-hander won his first career ITF World Tennis Tour title in April 2021 in Antalya.
In his first match of the year, Coboli was ranked No. 885 in the world in Egypt, but eight months later he found himself No. 22 in the ATP rankings.
Who is Flavio Cobolli’s coach?
Flavio Cobolli is coached by his father Stefano Cobolli, a former tennis player and coach of the Tennis Academy in Rome.
Also a right-handed player, the Cobolli senior from La Spezia turned pro in 1995 and reached a career-high ranking in 236 World Pro Tour tournaments.
His best performance on the ATP Tour came when he qualified for the main draw at the Croatian Umag Open in 1998 and reached the second round, where he took Stan Wawrinka’s former coach Magnus Nou. Magnus Norman brought three sets.
Cobolli has never made it past the first round of Grand Slam qualification, so he hopes to crack the code with Flavio, who has already showcased his array of talents on the junior circuit.
