Where was Midsomer Murders Happy Families filmed?
Midsomer Murders brings a new murder mystery to our screens in Season 22, Episode 3, “Happy Family.” It also left many viewers wondering where the episode was filmed.
The happy family arrived at ITV on Sunday (3 October 2021). The usual cast makes a comeback with many guest stars.

Where was Midsomer Murders Happy Families filmed?
radio times The episode was reportedly filmed in and around Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. Much of the filming of the series took place in rural areas, including Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

Despite the odd circumstances, Neal said that within “ten minutes,” he and his co-stars went straight back to the show and made a great series.
Midsomer Murders Happy Family Synopsis
The third episode of the season focuses on the Karras family, who have created and developed handcrafted board games for decades. The family is gearing up for a murder mystery game over the weekend.
However, things took a turn for the worse when the real killer struck. Victor Callas, who was celebrating his 70th birthday, was found dead.
Barnaby and Winter are called to investigate the real murder mystery. However, when a storm hits the island of Callas, things go from bad to worse, leaving detectives in a bind and unable to investigate.
That means the rest of the family will find out who Victor Callas’ killer is during a real murder mystery weekend.

Other Midsomer Murders Filming Locations
The episode of Stitcher Society was filmed in Buckinghamshire. John Thomson, who appears as a guest star in this episode, Say He is familiar with Midsomer’s filming locations.
“The whole area of Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, when I was a kid in the 1970s, I lived in Watford every summer and when I saw the north and the south it was cool.
“Around that area, it’s a melting pot of film ideas. Buckinghamshire is very beautiful and a really lovely location to film. As you can see from the show, Midsomer is a lovely place, but also a very dangerous place .”
