Harry Redknapp believes Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry would be the ideal candidate for the Bournemouth management vacancy.
Cherries, previously managed by Redknapp, parted ways with Jason Tindall after a poor performance.
Terry has yet to take his first steps into management, but in recent years he has seen former England teammates Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney do the same.

“If given the opportunity, he could be a real top manager. If I were a chairman right now who was looking for a manager, John Terry would be my first choice,” Redknapp said.
“He’s at Aston Villa, he’s probably not interested, I don’t know what his long-term ambitions are, but I’m sure he’ll want to go into management.
“If you’re going into management, I can’t think of a better club to take over than Bournemouth.
“It’s really a good club, a well run club, good players. It’s all really about someone coming in and being a huge success.”

There is no indication Terry is on Bournemouth’s shortlist, or if he is, he even wants to go.
He did well at Villa, working in the Premier League and learning from Dean Smith’s experienced manager.
If he does want to be the main character, he will make a decision at some stage.
But when it comes to it, he can cross that bridge. Ironically, Villa and Bournemouth were relegation rivals at the end of last season and have clearly gone in opposite directions since then.
