Tony Kroos thinks Real Madrid could have scored five goals against Liverpool last night

Real Madrid midfielder Tony Kroos believes his side deserved their 3-1 win over Liverpool last night and could have scored more.
Liverpool struggled in the first half, trailing 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Vinicius and Marco Asensio.
The second half was better for the Reds – as Kroos admitted – but the German still felt his side had a chance to score four or five points.
Such a score could well have ended the game, although perhaps some Liverpool fans will point to the 4-0 win over Barcelona in 2019 as proof that anything is possible.

“There is no doubt that we deserved the victory today,” Kroos told Sony Sports When asked if 3-1 was a fair result.
“My view was that the second half was a bit different, Liverpool had more possession, but we still had clear chances.
“That’s why, to be honest, today’s result was okay, but four or five goals were more likely.
“We’re happy with today’s game, but we know what to expect at this level – we have to go there and try to attack to get to the semi-finals.”

In front of a full Anfield, a 2-0 home win is a real possibility for Liverpool.
After working behind closed doors, it became more difficult. On top of that, Liverpool’s home form has been poor since the start of the year.
The way Madrid attacked last night, it’s hard to see them not scoring at Anfield.
But with Liverpool in the Champions League, anything is possible and Kroos seems to know the job is not done.
