Tim Sherwood Premier League recommendation today Ozan Kabak should be recognised by recruit Ben Davies to have a place in Liverpool’s defence.
Both centre-backs were recruited by Jurgen Klopp on deadline to fill any gaps left in his exhausted squad.
Liverpool now have two more natural options, with former Tottenham manager Sherwood ruling on the shiny new signing.
“I think Kabac will play with Fabinho. He has a higher level of experience. Davies is a very good player, but also a good champion. The Premier League and the Championship are almost the same A different sport,” Sherwood said.
“It depends on how Kabak fits in and fits into English football. He’s a small player. He has good leaps, good pace. Very aggressive. Trying to win the ball he probably shouldn’t, but he’ll learn along the way. “
Kabak joined from Schalke on a six-month contract with a purchase option. He spent two seasons with the currently bottom-placed Bundesliga side.

Davies proved himself a regular under Alex Neal at Preston North, completing his £1.6m move.
Although only arriving in the last 48 hours, one of them could be called up for Liverpool’s game against Brighton tonight.
Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip were all lowered to the treatment table.
That forced Klopp to deploy Fabinho or Jordan Henderson at centre-back alongside the inexperienced duo of Reece Williams and Nathaniel Philips.
Tim Sherwood eagerly praised Philips’ performance after the 23-year-old stepped up for Liverpool’s past two games.
“In a game and a half, Philips was great. He came on at half-time against Tottenham and was great. He also played that night. He’s not doing any damage to himself at the moment.”
Klopp has confirmed Fabinho could miss a visit to Brighton later today as he recovers from a minor problem.
He also said at the pre-match press conference on Liverpool’s YouTube channel Pairing Kabak and Davies together immediately “wouldn’t be cool”.
