Jose Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham just six days before the Carabao Cup final with Manchester City.
There are not many examples of clubs sacking managers so close to a showcase.
This has led to some confusion about the timing, especially now seems to have nothing Related to the European Super League.
Mourinho was brought to Tottenham to win trophies and he will no doubt argue that he was given the boot before he had the chance to see his best chance to do it.

But it’s almost as if Spurs can’t risk Mourinho winning trophies and delaying the inevitable.
Tottenham’s results have plummeted and there is little to suggest that things will improve, other than a stellar performance from Harry Kane.
But if Mourinho wins Spurs’ first trophy since 2008, it will cement his status.
So if Daniel Levy felt Mourinho was not the right man for the job long-term, he almost had to sack him before the final.

The result of this, of course, is that Ryan Mason – who will become the youngest manager in Premier League history on Wednesday against Southampton – will be handed over to the team.
Is it a hospital pass? A completely unproven manager has six days to plan a strategy to beat one of the best managers in the world, probably without Kane.
Or a great opportunity for the club’s cult hero to lead Spurs at Wembley and get back some feel-good factor and link up with the club again?
We may only know after the final whistle on Sunday, but our view is that Levy cannot risk Mourinho winning the trophy and making it harder to be fired.
