The Story of How 101 Dalmatians Saved Disney
101 Dalmatians has been a recurring theme since the Disney property spawned the Cruella project, and it’s been imagined in several different versions over the years, from animation to live-action.But one thing a lot of people probably don’t know is that it’s essentially Saved the animation department at Disney. Some may be scratching their heads and wondering how this is possible, but the explanation is simple. When Disney was still doing its best to provide the kind of animated entertainment people wanted, everything in the animation department was done by hand, a long but impressive process that took a fair amount of time from start to finish. Sleeping Beauty, a movie, requires a million animation units to complete, and the cost is huge.
Unfortunately, Disney had to suffer when it came to movies, and as a result something needed to change or the animation division would sink. Their movies put so much work and effort into it, which is definitely appreciated, but Disney had to figure out a way to make money, not just spend it, to thrive and move forward, and the Xerox era was born. Born in the early 20th century, Xerox was cost-effective, had a slight impact on audiences, but was definitely easier, and allowed Disney to develop a new approach to animation that wouldn’t financially ruin them. In this way, Disney has a life-saving technology that allows them to make movies in a way that may not always pay attention to detail, but at least delivers a great story and lovable characters that people can enjoy. By taking this approach, Disney has managed to keep things going so they can continue to entertain audiences willing to pay for the business.
Much has changed in the decades since 101 Dalmatians, especially since CGI and live-action took over. Disney is so focused on so many different projects that the importance of movies like 101 Dalmatians has been left behind. That’s not entirely surprising, because if it were made to simply acknowledge the how and why, there would be no growth and no moving forward. If a company is to grow, expand, and create new opportunities, it has to keep improving, and long ago, Disney at least found a way to make their lives easier, and they embraced it. Since then, to be fair, many might quip that Mouse House has been taking as many new routes as possible to revolutionize the studio and create as many opportunities for innovation as possible.
As far as their animation division is concerned, Disney is by far one of the most impressive studios in the world, as they have produced some of the biggest hits and also managed to keep generations of fans happy with the material they made. It’s no surprise that 101 Dalmatians keeps closing from time to time, but it hasn’t really been a huge feature for other movies and shows. One might think that a movie that somehow helped save the company would get a higher status than it does, but considering it gets a lot of attention at times, it could be that Disney thinks it’s good enough compared to other projects currently in the works .
Maybe it’s enough to mention that this movie helped save Disney, as there may be other stories about other movies and shows in Disney’s long history that might tell of others that the House of Mouse Collective followed and needed help. moment, and found help in another movie or a new, innovative way of doing things. Rat House has become very good at finding new ways to stay ahead and keep going when they might get stuck in one gear or the other, so far it can be seen that they have done a good job of introducing new ones when necessary. techniques and methods. credit to a movie Because that’s not the whole story, because of the fact that 101 Dalmatians probably wouldn’t have been made without Xerox, because animation costs would be crazy work considering how many cels it might take to make this movie. But while the effect may be a little unnerving to some fans, it’s still a film that continues to be remembered and inspire others to create new ideas that will continue to entertain the masses. Sometimes it’s easier to give credit to a movie than the process.
