As soon as the trailer came out, the controversy broke out instantly santa company released. Strangely, the film didn’t receive many reviews. However, more than 1,000+ Rotten Tomatoes viewers bombarded the site with negative reviews for the eight-episode mini-series; this resulted in an extremely low 4% viewer score.So why santa company To be ravaged so badly? That’s because of the film’s explicit feminist political message. There’s also no subtlety behind it, and it’s clear that the animated series portrays white people as evil holding Santa’s place. Quick note: The reason why Santa is white comes from a Dutch legend of Santa Claus; this legend is based on St. Nicholas, an early Christian saint who gave gifts to people. The character is a white man with a big beard, hence the origin of this fictional character. However, that’s not the reason people are so enthusiastic about the series. Hollywood is trying to be awakened again. Look, I’m a filmmaker; I haven’t done anything close to big. However, I do understand the inner workings of the film industry. I’ve been on movie sets and talked to a lot of executives and producers. I say this because I know this place has a certain opinion about black people, minorities and women. Is it because of white people? Yes. There are many examples of filmmakers being held back because of their race, gender or sexual orientation. One of the most famous actresses on the planet, Lucy Liu, discusses her handling of racism:
“I hope people don’t just see me as an Asian girl who beats everyone, or an Asian girl with no feelings. People see Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock in romantic comedies, but not me. Spike Lee, Ava DuVernay, Kirsten Stewart and many other filmmakers have spoken about politics in Hollywood. Again, this is mostly due to white people. I bring all of this up to show that Tinseltown’s history isn’t great. Granted, it’s public knowledge now, but it’s important to reiterate.one of the problems santa company So many other shows and movies seem to have agendas aimed at white people. I’m black, so I can’t talk about the white experience.Yes, these types of men hold back generations of filmmakers, but santa company It seems that all white people are evil. Absolutely not. Are there any stories about why powerful Hollywood executives hold back many minorities? Yes! The issue never manifested on both sides. We never get an opinion from these powerful people as to why they act the way they do.This is the same as santa company. The series calls Santa a “white man’s game,” fails to acknowledge St. Nicholas’ history, or even addresses issues surrounding racism or sexism. I don’t have this concept of humiliating or destroying an entire race because of Hollywood’s shameful past. Or hell, or even slavery, and many other dark American themes that plague a group or generation.
I feel angry and frustrated, but not all white people are bad people. Not every white man has white privilege. Or for those who do, they might not even know it. Taking a one-sided view on such a subject is a major shift, especially since it’s supposed to be a Christmas movie.no joy in it santa company. Because it beats you to death with its political themes. Crude and vulgar humor feels compelled. What’s more, the film is so timely and edgy that it fails to be a Christmas movie. It’s odd because it’s obviously a Christmas-themed movie, but social commentary takes away the magic that usually accompanies the holidays. Not every Christmas movie needs to be the same. I’m not saying that movies need to stop dealing with these themes. It would be nice to explore these kinds of themes, instead of saying that white people are evil because they are white. The same goes for feminist films that portray all men as misogynistic bastards. The sheer number of political movies and shows really makes escapist movies and TV what they should be. Every movie or show has some type of message or theme.That’s fine, but you get something like that when your theme or message is the driving force rather than a compelling and cohesive narrative santa company
