Jesse Lingard steals the show again for West Ham, Garth Crooks rewarding the Englishman for a place in the Team of the Week BBC Sport.
It didn’t take long for Lingard to open the scoring for West Ham, just six minutes into the game. And the 28-year-old didn’t finish there, with Lingard scoring two other goals for the Hammers.
Manchester United’s loanee gave the Hammers a 3-0 lead before half-time.
David Moyes will have some tense moments after his Hammers conceded two goals in the second half.
However, the Hardcore managed to hold on and take all three points at 3-2.
Crooks: ‘Above his game again’
Crooks has been impressed with Lingard’s performance and believes the Manchester United loanee would be better off staying in London.
Crooks said: “Jesse Lingard had a fantastic first half.
“(He) played 45 minutes in Molineux against Wolves.
“Back in England, Lingard was at his best again, scoring his first goal for the Hammers, scoring their second and (his technical lead) for the first time. three.
“United must be looking at Lingard’s long-term future at Old Trafford and wondering what to do.
“If I were Lingard, I would tell them his future is at Manchester United – West Ham.”
Lingard finishes the game who scores Rated 7.8 out of 10.
That seems a bit low considering the 28-year-old scored an important goal and assisted against Wolves.

Should Lingard break up the band?
The Manchester United loanee has been trusted with plenty of opportunities since joining the Hammers, which is sure to make staying in London attractive.
Should Lingard join West Ham on a permanent basis, it would be difficult to see the midfielder sidelined while fit. However, even after his loan spell at the hardcore, a return to Manchester United is likely to allow him to fight again for his place.
After scoring 6 goals and 3 assists in 8 Premier League games, surely the Hammers will do everything to keep him at the club?
It might come down to Lingard’s personal goals – but it’s hard to see him getting this level of love at United.
