Liverpool talent Liam Miller played a fine game away for his loan club Charlton Athletic last night.
Atticus climbed to sixth place – their last play-off spot in League 1 – with a 6-0 away win over Plymouth Argyle.
Miller, 21, scored Charlton’s fifth goal in 56 minutes, a well-deserved reward for an individual performance.
The goal was one of his three shots on the night – no Charlton player had more – and one of two.
Not for sale: Crouch can’t believe Liverpool losing 3 players
In the 56th minute, DJ made a cross from the right, the ball crossed the penalty area, Stockley crossed the goal, and Miller hit the ball!

His passing is guaranteed, deploying 91.3 percent of the time on the left side of the top three.
Two crucial passes created chances for teammates, and no one in the red shirt created more chances.
He also cut in with tackles and dribbles in a very easy win.
The result actually equaled Charlton’s highest ever away league win.

As European football seemed to be eating itself last night, with Liverpool withdrawing from the Chinese Super League, it’s easy to forget what’s going on on the pitch elsewhere.
Miller could still play a key role in bringing Charlton back into the Championship in the first attempt.
More performances like this and no one likes facing them in the play-offs.
Whether Miller’s future at Anfield will remain long-term remains to be seen, but he certainly impressed on loan.
