Some Leicester City supporters couldn’t believe Brendan Rodgers replaced striker Keleich Iheanacho at Burnley last night and took to social media to express their feelings.
The Foxes were limited to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor as their grip on the Premier League top four continued to loosen.
Iheanacho’s inspired volley equalised for Leicester. But even a magic goal couldn’t stop him being dragged away by his manager after 67 minutes.
Some Foxes fans were baffled by Rodgers’ decision and took to Twitter to vent their displeasure:
To Rogers’ astonishment, iheanacho was a million times more accomplished than vardy.

How can this guy take Ịheanachọ while Vardy is playing trash?

Not sure if I’ll take Iheanacho, not sure Vardy has been scoring since before Christmas! I don’t count that game against Liverpool because I’ll put it away (maybe!)

Will take that point all day! Iheanacho completed his goal well and unfortunately was substituted. Kasper MOTM with these 2 incredible saves. Tielemans is a collective performance, although it should be shot!

Injustice of Iheanacho
While Leicester City’s performances were second-rate overall, Iheanacho’s results were top-notch.
The Nigeria international took Wilfrid N’Didi’s lob pass and when the ball fell off his shoulder his left-footed volley hit the shocking Nick Pope.
That inspiring moment for Iheanacho was one of the few sparks for Leicester on a dimly lit night, and they also thanked Kasper Schmitchell for his perspective.
But his likely daily game goals this month aren’t enough to guarantee Iheanacho a full 90 minutes in the eyes of Rodgers. He was replaced by Mark Albrighton.
Some Fox fans on Twitter think Jamie Vardy should be the one to leave.
According to WhoScored.com, Vardy didn’t take any descriptive photos all night. He has only scored once in his last ten league games.
Meanwhile, Iheanacho scored two goals in four domestic starts in stunning strikes.

vardy prodigy
Leicester’s Nigeria striker has spent most of his career in the Midlands, standing in Vardy’s shadow, which is understandable given the 34-year-old’s prolific shooting percentage at the club.
But signs of rust appear to be creeping into Vardy’s game.
No one can deny the magnitude of Vardy’s impact on Leicester City’s extraordinary success, however, Rodgers needs to make a contingency plan for life after the England striker.
This may come in the form of Iheanacho.
He may not have the same speed or burst of energy as Vardy, but last night highlighted the potential talent he has. It just needs to be handled in the right way.
