Arsenal have confirmed Kieran Tierney has questions about tonight’s Premier League clash at Southampton.
According to reports club’s websitethe left-back is being assessed for a right calf injury.
The Gunners travel to St Mary’s Stadium for the second time in three days after the Saints beat underpowered Arsenal 1-0 in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The two sides in the league are just two points apart, but Ralph Hasenhuttl’s team has a game in hand and is 10th with 29 points.
Nonetheless, Arsenal have been in good form in the league in recent weeks.
Tierney fear
Mikel Arteta looks set to be without some key players tonight. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed Saturday’s game for personal reasons and the club have confirmed the captain remains unavailable for selection at St Mary’s.
Danny Ceballos and Pablo Mari are both set to miss out with calf injuries, but it was the in-form Tierney injury that has many Arsenal fans fearing the worst.
Here’s how some Arsenal fans reacted to the news on Twitter:
We can cope without Auba, Mali and Ceballos. We’re not sure we can handle it without Tierney.

We can’t see victory tonight without him

I woke up wishing we had a Ødegaard announcement by noon.
Instead, we were told Kieran Tierney could miss tonight’s game with a calf problem.
Pretty accurate summary of life as an Arsenal fan.
