Sir Donald Bradman buys first green hat at auction for record price

The ‘loose green’ cap worn by Sir Donald Bradman on his debut in 1928 sold at auction for A$450,000 (£253,420), a record for a cricket cap belonging to ‘Don’ price, ABC News Report.
How much did a Bradman hat go for at auction?
The hat Bradman wore in his final Test in 1948 sold at auction A sort of$425,000 in 2003.
Pickles Auction House hosted the event and the hat was purchased by Peter Freedman, founder and chairman of Sydney electronics company Rode.
Pickles executive manager Gavin Dempsey told AFP: “It remains the highest price ever paid on the open market for a Bradman hat.”
Friedman said he plans to tour Australia next year.

Bradman must be the greatest?
Bradman is probably the greatest hitter in the game. He scored 29 centuries and has an all-time Test batting average of 99.94.
His first-class career was equally impressive — 28,067 runs with a 95.14 average, including 117 centuries and 69 fifties. His highest first-class score was 452 not out (Creek Information).
Bradman is the only Australian cricketer to be knighted. Despite his death in 2001, Don is still revered around the world.
