The term was first introduced to Murderville audiences in the first episode of the series magician’s assistant.
In this episode, Detective Terry Seattle, Will Arnet, and his celebrity intern, Conan O’Brien, investigate a magic show murder.
During the investigation, the pair decided “tittynope” would be O’Brien’s safe word because he went undercover while talking to the suspect.
O’Brien later approached the suspect, who introduced himself as Todd Carrington Bergsenfield of Idaho. Later his cover was blown up and he ended up having to use “tittynope”.
