According to right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool will have to perform at 100 per cent if they want to take all three points against Newcastle.

“It’s going to be a tough game,” Alexander-Arnold said. “There’s never an easy game in the Premier League, so we’re not looking forward to that.
“But I think we know that if we get to 100 per cent then we have the confidence to go there and win – but only if we get to 100 per cent.”
Trent Alexander-Arnold wary of Newcastle threat
Steve Bruce’s side managed to beat West Brom earlier this month, but they have since gone on a four-match winless run, most recently a 2-0 loss at Manchester City.
Despite their current form, Trent Alexander-Arnold is still expecting the Magpies to pose a real threat, suggesting they could be sitting higher on the table than they currently do.
“I think they got good results, and they got results that they probably thought they should have done better,” added Alexander-Arnold.
“But in the big picture, I think they did well, brought in some new players and proved they are a good team and will challenge everything.”
