Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold full of praise for Chelsea’s Reece James

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly heaped praise on his Chelsea rival Reece James Standard sport.
The Chelsea teenager has established himself in Chelsea’s starting XI this season. He also scored his first Premier League goal against Brighton in September.
Alexander-Arnold pays tribute to James
That led to a lot of plaudits for the 20-year-old. Alexander-Arnold believes James deserves the recognition he gets and admits his fellow right-back is an exciting prospect.
“Since he joined last year or so, he has proven that he is a good player, solid defensively and a good striker.
“He’s an all-around right-back, probably alongside some of the best players in the league,” he said.

James receives international honor
James’ recent performance has also earned him an England squad. He made his international debut last month and now has three hats to his name.
With England manager Gareth Southgate currently preferring a 3-4-3 formation, a head-to-head shootout between Alexander-Arnold and James looks set to be the right-back position for next year’s Euros.
Alexander-Arnold certainly hopes that will be the case.
“In the formation we’re using at the moment, it’s probably me and him at right-back because I know Kyle Walker can play right-centre and Tripps sometimes plays left-back,” he added.
Alexander-Arnold claims no competition
With the two young full-backs battling for the top spot at their respective clubs, a rivalry could be established between the two.
However, Alexander-Arnold doesn’t see it that way. He is enjoying challenging his status as the best full-back in the country. The Reds defender is expected to improve due to pressure from James.
“It’s always exciting to fight for places. It always helps me and I think it helps a lot of players get better,” he said.
England’s next game is not until March. That means Alexander-Arnold and James still have plenty of time to push their starter claims ahead of next summer’s tournament.
