‘Fantastic’: Ex-England international praises West Ham signing he previously thought was not ‘necessary’

Trevor Sinclair has praised Jesse Lingard as the 28-year-old scored twice in West Ham’s 3-1 win, despite previous criticism of the signing.
The former Hammers and England international praised Lingard’s ‘physical quality and desire to join’ Twitter In Hardcore’s win over Aston Villa.

That’s a bit of a shock, considering Sinclair’s previous comments about Lingard’s signing.
The 47-year-old believes that while Lingard is also a former England player, a loan deal for the Englishman is not necessary for David Moyes’ side.

“He hasn’t played in the Premier League this season. For me, I don’t think he’s necessary.”

Lingard – a debut to remember
