Potential landing site for Orgeron
Orgeron is 60 years old and has been coaching for decades. He was the head coach of LSU for four years and spent time with Ole Miss at the University of Mississippi from 2005 to 2007.
For now, he appears to be on vacation and enjoying some family time, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be returning as a coach in 2022.
Orgeron has been closely associated with work at USC and Miami, and it wouldn’t be too shocking to suggest he could return as a top assistant. However, it seems unlikely that many programs are choosing new coaches these days.
Orgeron has other projects related to Houston, Texas Tech University and Syracuse University. However, it remains to be seen how that ultimately unfolds.
