Wallace has been drafted to the top, but contacts with Ryan Price and William Byron have brought a period of caution.
It started raining again in Talladega as the car looped behind the speed car – already causing a period of red flags.
The car was taken to the pits as NASCAR wanted the storm team to pass.
However, after trying to dry the track with Air Titans, officials announced the race shortly before 16:30 pm ET.
Bubba Wallace’s victory made him the 198th different driver to win the Cup Series.
Wallace took the win from Brad Keselowski by 0.258 seconds as he led the timed loop, at which point a warning had been issued.
It was also the first win for 23XI Racing – a team co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan.
Co-owner and Joe Gibbs racer Danny Hamlin (finished seventh).
Wallace did not advance to the next round of the playoffs.
He was eliminated at the end of the regular season.

Thankfully, the FBI investigation proved it wasn’t a hate crime.
Turns out it was just a door tie in the shape of a noose.
In order to get behind Wallace, his Cup driver pushed the then No. 43 driver in front of the pit lane.
They then stood behind him in a pre-match ceremony as a sign of unity.
