Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Review – Spotlight
An honest Assassin’s Creed Valhalla review: “They think we’re barbarians…don’t let them down!” Well, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla certainly doesn’t disappoint.
Valhalla is fully in the Assassin’s Creed legacy, but it didn’t have this new feel in many of the series’ 12 major releases.
While in Valhalla, you experience a level of satisfaction that will take things to the next level. Boys and girls will be thrilled by the added reward of this now well-known but greatly expanded format.
However, those new to the series can play without the constraints of a lack of knowledge of Assassin’s Creed gameplay.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Viking Raiders of the Dark Ages
Set in 873 AD, Valhalla tells the fictional story of the Vikings’ invasion of England. You control Eivor, a Viking raider (you can play as a man or a woman) involved in a conflict between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Knights Templar.

Valhalla features a familiar main story quest and optional side quest structure. While the main storylines of past Assassin’s Creed games have moved linearly through the game world, Valhalla has players returning to settlements or regions. England opened up when the Vikings learned through scouting or contact.
The game’s tagline — “They think we’re savages… don’t let them down!” — a big element of all Assassin’s Creed games — isn’t much room for stealth.
Not all violence, often pillage
While actual combat may have played its biggest role in Assassin’s Creed to date, not all missions require a violent ending. Some can be resolved through diplomacy, which affects your character and its political alliances with non-player characters.
You don’t have to be an ax-wielding lunatic in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – but it helps
I’ve also had several successful raids on areas and islands, using only stealth. There is less reliance on the traditional Assassin’s Creed upgrade system here. Instead, the focus is on selecting skills through the skill tree.
In previous Assassin’s Creed games, I was frustrated with clunky cameras, controls, and parkour systems in and out of combat.
But the problem that was bothering me before has been adequately resolved. Combat no longer feels the grind it had on previous iterations of the series.
A long-standing question about the Assassin’s Creed franchise has finally been answered. It gave the series a clear direction – at least to me – that feels long overdue.
excellent protagonist
Eivor is an excellent protagonist who puts you on the sidelines from the start. The game unfolds the story as he/she watches as a young child the traumatic events that shaped our heroes.
It’s not worth it to annoy the neighbors around you
Exploring is not for everyone. For many gamers in their 30s, time is at a premium, so it’s both amazing and rewarding to explore for hours on end, but sometimes you just want to take and take on a mission.
However, the beauty of exploration lies in the wealth of weapons and abilities that make you stronger. Strategy is the key to combat, and you’ll feel the benefits of well-planned combat, using the best and most powerful weapons at your disposal.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla review: The pace picks up
Some critics complained that the main story took too long to start and got a little boring. I can see where they come from – correct in many ways.
However, invest the time and the pace will pick up to a more satisfying pace. By then, you’ll have mastered the fight and reached a level of skills and weapons that make progress faster and easier.
There’s a lot to do in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as you explore Dark Age England by land and sea.
I’m one of many Assassin’s Creed fans who are starting to tire of the cut-and-paste nature of the series from one episode to the next. Same thing, different settings.
It’s nice to warm your bones by the fire after a hard day’s looting
But as far as I’m concerned, this is by far the best, most engaging, most engaging, smooth and enjoyable assassin yet. The series is pushing the boundaries of open world RPGs even further.
light in the dark
Dark Ages comes to life in a stunning and atmospheric style in a wonderfully woven storyline, especially around the main characters.
Stunning levels of detail and expansive spaces, combined with Valhalla running in 4k at 60fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X, make just watching others play their own fascinating spectacle.
