Are there ‘wild’ people in national parks?
Since the beginning of February, TikTok user People like @garcious, @rock_bottom_wren, @bonjourbecky and @petragalvan0 started discussing the existence of so-called “savages” in US national parks, especially in Tennessee.
Some claim that 1,600 people go missing in national parks every year. Another tried to quell fear by scaling: “2021 has a lot to fear. It’s not it” (sic).
Another person who recorded her video in the mountains of Tennessee discouraged claims of cannibalism. She argues that because people in Tennessee are used to eating “something else,” they have no reason to eat each other.
A week later, the debate spread on Twitter. One user said the TikTok videos had put her “down the rabbit hole.”
She was “scared” after “reading about the disappearance in the park”.

How true are these stories?
For an article on disappearances in national parks, Diana Brown Science: How things work) interviewed cryptographer David Paulides.
Paulides is a former police detective and author of Missing 411, a series about strange disappearances and the seemingly unlikely patterns that connect them.
He claimed to have found “disturbing trends” in reports and case files, as well as stories that “cannot be explained simply”.For personal stories, read how this article works 10 Mysterious Disappearances in National Parks.
However, instead of blaming “savages” in national parks, Paulides blamed it on something else.
who did it? Bigfoot, Wendigoes and/or “Portal”
Ultimately, Paulides seems to take the big feetor Sasquatch, a folk creature that is legendary but never explicitly inhabited in the forests of North America.
Others suggested Wendigos was responsible.Wendigos, “scarred to haggard, with dry skin taut against bone” (with Basil JohnstonOjibwe teacher and scholar), is a mythical monster associated with cannibalism.
Others think that portalsuch as those that allow access to other dimensions, are the culprits.

How many people are missing?
According to accounts circulating on social media platforms in 2021, large numbers of people disappear every year at the hands of savages or cannibals living in national parks.
This seems to be a distortion of the facts.
One foreign minister read Citing the number 1600, but as a pair all who “disappeared”.
use words Vice President: “Bigfoot and aliens have eclipsed the government’s aging database of missing persons cold cases”.
Disappearances and Public Concern
Missing gained a cult following online.
People use the supernatural or supernatural theory as a convenient catch-all explanation.
Likewise, it is likely that someone lives in a national park. After all there is 423 national park sites In the United States, it accounts for 3.4% of its land. Many offer opportunities for those who wish to live away from the land and off the grid.
However, to paint anyone who chooses to live in a national park as a cannibal, or even a “barbarian,” is not only insulting, but unreal.
Also, it does little for those who really want to investigate disappearances.
