Are forks banned in Canada?
Rumors of Canada banning forks come from a Viral TikTok Videos, the creators claim to ban forks entirely. They say it is not possible to buy forks online due to the great Canadian fork wars.
Not that Canada has banned forks outright, but they do have plans to ban plastic forks this year.

Canada Plastic Fork Ban Explained

Environment and Climate Change Minister Jonathan Wilkinson announced this as part of their plan to achieve zero plastic waste by 2030. “When the ban goes into effect, your local store will offer you alternatives to these plastic products,” Wilkinson said.
The prohibited list includes plastic bags, stir sticks, six-pack racks, plastic utensils, some food containers and plastic straws.

Canada’s fork history debunked
In a widely circulated TikTok video, the creator said: “A strange fact about Canada: Forks are illegal in Canada. Not only are they not sold in stores, but you can’t buy them on Amazon. All because of this . The Great Canadian Fork of 1812.”
They went on to present an article detailing the Canadian fork battle. However, this is a fake web page.
There is no fork war in Canada, TikTok appears to be a scam.
