Amanda Gorman will serve as the inaugural poet at President Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2021. Not only is Gorman the youngest inaugural poet in history, but like President Biden herself, Amanda Gorman has a speech hurdle she has managed to overcome.

Amanda Gorman is a 22-year-old poet and activist from Los Angeles, California. In April 2017, she was named The first National Young Poets Laureate, when she was a sophomore at Harvard.
