Akira Yamaoka (Akira Yamaoka, Akira Yamaokaborn February 6, 1968) is a Japanese video game music composer, sound designer, guitarist and producer, known for creating various games silent Hill Konami’s series. Yamaoka stated in a 2009 interview that his favorite game creator is Suda51 and his favorite video game is no more heroes. His favorite soundtrack of his own is Silent Hill 2. Music Styles and Influences
When asked how other artists have influenced his work, Yamaoka listed Nine Inch Nail’s Trent Reznor as his “primary inspiration, both in performance and musical style.” His other influences include Angelo Badalamenti (best known for his soundtrack collaboration with David Lynch), Metallica and Depeche Mode.
When asked if his studies at the Tokyo Academy of Arts had helped his music career, he replied: “At the time, Mick Karn of Japan, Steve Strange of Visage and many other musicians combined the concepts of art and music with the The combination of their music.
