About Åke Andersson: Swedish ice hockey player (1918 – 1982)
Åke Gustav “Plutten” Andersson (8 June 1918 – 11 May 1982) was a Swedish ice hockey and bandy player and association football manager. He represented Sweden at the 1948 and 1952 Winter Olympics, finishing fourth in 1948 and bronze in 1952. From 1945 until his retirement in 1954, he captained the Swedish national team.
Anderson coached Hammarby Fotboll in 1951. He won six Swedish ice hockey titles at Hammarby IF (1936, 1937, 1942, 1943, 1945, 1951), starting as a striker and top scorer in the 1936 tournament, then in the 1940s.
