“The feedback from the Australian coaches is that I have to learn more skills, and probably be more consistent, before they can pick me full-time on some Big Bash sides,” Summers said [Muhammad Yousaf Twitter].
“I don’t necessarily agree, I think I’m ready to play Big Bash cricket. I’m not going to just sit in Australia and get older and not study.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to learn from Azhar [Mahmood] And some other players and coaches and being able to put it into practice in a very competitive structure against some very good players. “
After a week working under Mahmoud, the fast bowler will join his team-mates in Karachi on January 5.
After making two appearances for the Karachi Kings in the 2019 PSL, Summers has become familiar to some opposition batsmen, and he passed Jofra Archer and Tymal Mills in his Big Bash debut in 2017.
However, given his inexperience, he remains a relatively unknown quantity and his involvement will increase interest in the six-team tournament.
Aaron Summers is likely to take on Sindh at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on January 8, when he will make his South Punjab debut.
