Vashu Bhagnani moved from Calcutta to Mumbai in 1989 to start his own business. He started by making TV parts, making clothing, etc. Then he changed his field and went into construction and then became a filmmaker. In 1995, Vashu Bhagnani signed Govinda and David Dhawan for Rs. 500,000 each. His first film was Coolie One, starring Govinda and Karishma Kapoor. The film was a huge success and was a commercial success, and Vashu started his own production company, Pooja Entertainment India Limited. After the success of “Coolie One”, Vashu started a full series of “Coolie One”. 1′ film and released ‘Hero No. 1’ (1997), ‘Biwi No. 1’ (1999) and ‘Shaadi No. 1’ (2005). In 2002, Vashu Bhagnani produced a family drama “Om Jai Jagadish”. However, things didn’t go well for him, as the movie didn’t get the audience’s approval, causing him a huge financial loss. Vashu left filmmaking to re-enter real estate to make more money.

Vashu made a comeback in 2009 with the film “Kal Kissne Dekha” and cast his son Jackky Bhagnani in the leading role. The film is a love science fiction novel that has been well-received by audiences in theaters.
