The journey of life
Shreya Ghoshal attended Atomic Energy Central School in Rawatbhata until grade 8 and moved to Atomic Energy Central School in Anushakti Nagar after her family moved to Mumbai. She then entered the Junior College of Atomic Energy to study science, but then dropped out to enter the SIES School of Arts, Sciences and Business in Mumbai, where she studied art with a major in English. Shreya Ghoshal started studying music at the age of 4. At the age of 6, she began her formal classical music training for 18 months at Late Kalyanji Bhai and continued her studies at Late Mukta Bhide in Mumbai.
The first song Shreya recorded was “Ganraj Rangi Nachato”, a cover version of a Marathi song originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Her first studio album, Bendhechhi Beena, was released on January 1, 1998, with 14 tracks. Some of her early albums are O Tota Pakhi Re, Ekti Katha (1999) and Mukhor Porag (2000).
