Navid was born on August 10, 1993 (25 years old; same as 2018) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He was educated at a monastic school in Mumbai and later attended Guru Nanak Khalsa College in Mumbai.
At 13, he was inspired by Sean Paul’s song “Temperature,” which he happened to hear at a wedding. During college, he formed a hip-hop group called Schizophrenia with friends.
In 2014, he released a DIY music video Aafat on YouTube. Soon the song went viral, attracting millions of views.
