She always showed a willingness to learn. She was a little sad when we returned from Delhi after the Nationals earlier this week. But we didn’t know she would take this tragic step. Twice a year we invite sports psychologists to counsel our shooters. It’s so sad to see such a talented kid lose his life. “

We received a call from the control room that a girl allegedly shot herself at her residence at Gali 4, Harinder Nagar, Faridkot, in the early hours of Thursday. Once there, we found the body of 17-year-old Khush Seerat Kaur Sandhu. She shot herself with her .22 pistol and died of a headshot. According to the family, she was disappointed with her performance at the Nationals in Delhi earlier this week. After the autopsy, we have handed over the body to the family and an investigation has been launched. “
