The journey of life
However, we realize that only a few football fans have stumbled upon Kevin Wallan’s concise life story. We have prepared a brief introduction for you. Without further ado, let’s get started. First, his nickname is Volley. Kevin Volland was born on July 30, 1992 in Marktoberdorf, Germany, to Anita Volland and Andreas Volland.
The German footballer was the first of three children born to his parents. Kevin Volland spent part of his childhood in Marktoberdorf, Germany. His siblings are a brother named Robin and a sister named Jenny Wallan.
Kevin took responsibility for taking care of his younger siblings himself. Robin and Jenny, as the eldest sons of his parents. The time spent with his siblings was nothing short of heaven for Kevin. During the first few years of their lives, they only had fond memories, mostly shared with his brother Robin.
Anita and Andreas’ son shared some unforgettable moments as children. This is Kevin and Robin’s favorite childhood memory. First, the German footballer comes from a sports family. do you know? Kevin’s father, Andreas Woland, was a professional hockey player for the German national team.
At a young age, the proud father instilled a love of sport in his children – but allowed them to choose. According to research, professional hockey is highly paid in Germany. Salaries for this sport range from 40,000 to 200,000 euros (tax free). The footballer hails from the German city of Mark Toberdorf, the capital of Bavaria’s Ostail Heights region. As far as we know, Kevin is the most famous person in his metropolis.
Marktoberdorf has a population of 18,725 and is known for its computer science education. In addition, the city also hosts a famous religious event – the International Chamber Choir Competition. Anita and Andreas enroll their son at EV Flissen, about 30 kilometers from their home.
Parents want to encourage their children to participate in physical education. Therefore, the inseparable Wallan brothers attended the same school. When they got home from school, there was only one sport to play after school: football. They played one-on-one in their parents’ basement garden. Kevin and Robin followed in their father’s footsteps and started their hockey education with EV Fussen.
Although Robin is two years younger than Kevin, his parents let him join Kevin’s team with special permission from the school. That way, their mother (Anita) doesn’t have to come back (by train four times) to pick up the kids after training. Young Kevin played hockey as a child.
In their spare time (when they are not playing ice hockey for EV Flissen), the brothers practice at FC Thalhofen, a stadium in Marktoberdorf, close to their home. Kevin was the first of the boys to be more passionate about football.
Apart from his father’s craft, he was more ambitious than Robin in trying out other sports. The pair decided to quit ice hockey to focus on football. As a result, they continued to play for FC Thalhofen. During his ten years there, Kevin built his career before joining Memmingen FC in 2005. That year, the brothers separated for the first time, and Robin went on to work with Thalhofen.
Volland married longtime girlfriend Katja Fichtl in June 2017 and welcomed their first child, a girl, in March 2018.
