The journey of life
Kate Hudson was born in Los Angeles, California to famed actress Goldie Hawn and comedian, actor and singer Bill Hudson. She was raised by her mother and her mother’s longtime boyfriend, actor Kurt Russell, whom she considers her father. Kate has a brother Oliver Hudson, half-sister of actor and hockey player Wyatt Russell, and a granddaughter of band musician Rut Horn.
Kate is the niece of entertainment press agents Patty Horn, Mark Hudson (record producer) and singer Brett Hudson. Kate is of Hungarian Jew (grandmother), Italian (grandmother), British and German ancestors.
Hudson was a natural actress in every way—as a child, she danced and sang whenever she could. Her family wanted her to attend NYU after high school, but she chose to venture into professional entertainment first.
Kate Hudson is married to Black Crow frontman Chris Robinson. The two divorced in October 2007. They have one child, a boy named Ryder Russell Robinson, who was born in January 2004. Kate was then engaged to Muse representative Matthew Bellamy, but the pair said it ended in 2014. They have a son together, Bingham Horn Bellamy, born in 2011.
In December 2016, Hudson went on a hike with musician Danny Fujikawa, and it became their first date. In April 2018, the actress announced that she was pregnant with her first girl, number 3, in a video posted to Instagram. The pair welcomed daughter Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa on October 2, 2018.
